The EU Directive on disclosure of non-financial and diversity information requires more comprehensive reporting starting from the accounting year 2017. In addition to the regulatory compliance issue this is an opportunity to develop the company’s operational profitability and activities to meet the expectations and needs of various stakeholder groups.
The Directive requires that companies need to disclose information on policies, risks and outcomes regarding environmental matters, social and employee-related aspects, respect for human rights, anti-corruption and bribery issues as well as the diversity in their board of directors. The new rules will apply to certain large companies with more than 500 employees.
